Agreed Sven - the ox was bad but Sterling was so awful in the first half I think he almost blocked out the shitness of the rest of the team

I can't ever figure Kane out - he seems to have no ability at all other than getting his shots away! But his finish for his second was awful, the keeper should have stopped it

What we need in games like this is carroll - if the box is packed you need a big lump to win you some headers and try to force the opposition out a bit. He'd have lived it last night. Similarly Antonio would have been perfect (like the home game against them when he should have at least come off the bench) - quick, strong and can win a header. It's sad that we have no striker capable of winning a ball in the air and yet still insist on crossing. We don't even have a threatening centre back from corners any more!

Kane is a good finisher but I couldn't believe the number of times he gave the ball away. Ali was just as bad. Not impressed with Ox either but Rashford does look good.

Rashford would be first name on the team sheet if I had that squad. Can't believe people would pick Sterling ahead of him.

I know there isn't much to talk about but a bit surprised about all the self flagellation over a 'mere' 4-0 win. These games are the same. England always win them and by their nature they are very rarely entertaining.
The amusing thing is that Scotland (who play Malta) need England to beat Slovakia on Monday.
If those results happen Scotland will have a home game against Slovakia to be in the playoff place.

Spot on - Rooney should have been a world beater, he was terrifying defences when he was 16, the ball was glued to his feet.

Can't even remember the last time I saw him dribble round a couple of players

Mourinho openly said in a press conference he'd drop Cole for doing tricks. He turned a creative central talent into a token wide player.

Rashford has it all - he really could be top drawer. The best thing for any of these youngsters tondonwould be to go abroad and learn properly for a few seasons

Goose,

So fucking true. Happened to Joe Cole under Mourinho, happened to Rooney under Ferguson, and will probably happen to Rashford under the former again. As much as I hate to say it, the only manager who seems to be getting it right at the minute with regards to developing a young Englisj talent without shackling him is Pochettino with Alli.

Give most of our 'young talents', many of whom aren't half as good as they are made out to be anyway (Davies at Everton is the new Tom Cleverley) a few years and they will have gone the way of Ashley Young, Theo Walcott, et al.

Maybe there's hope for Oxlade-Chamberlain under Klopp (can't believe he is still only 24) but I'm not holding my breath.

Really Branded? English youngsters are athletes but that's where it ends. Anyone with any skill has it coached out of them. They lack the temperament and skill to be top level.

The player didn't require treatment and didn't have a head injury.
No need to kick a ball out in the slightest

I could go on a rant about how the English nurture players but I can't be bothered. Our youngsters are quick but have fuck all else.
